One of the things we’re really passionate about at our club is helping girls build confidence in different ways whilst trying new things, which is why we started to deliver our new sports sessions thanks to funding support from Sport England.

Over the past few weeks, the girls have already had the chance to try some amazing activities, and honestly, it’s been so lovely watching them get involved, encourage each other and just have fun without pressure.
So far, we’ve enjoyed:
Self-defence sessions
Basketball activities
Team games and movement-based confidence activities
One thing we really want girls to understand is that sport and movement doesn’t have to look one certain way. It’s not about being “the sporty one” or being the best in the room.
It’s about building confidence, trying new things, moving your body, feeling strong and learning that exercise can actually be fun.
For some girls, joining in with sports can feel intimidating, especially if confidence is already low. That’s why creating a supportive and encouraging environment is so important to us. We want girls to feel comfortable giving things a go without fear of judgement.
Over the next term, we’ve got even more exciting activities planned, including a fun fitness session with She Beasts CIC led by Sadie, which we know the girls are going to absolutely love.
We’ve also got:
Skipping sessions
Fun fitness activities
Team challenges
Confidence-building movement games
Dance
We’re so grateful to have received funding to help make these opportunities possible and we can’t wait to continue bringing more fun, empowering sports sessions to the girls in our community.
If your daughter would love to be part of a supportive club where she can build confidence, make friendships and try lots of different activities, we’d love to welcome her along for a trial session.
