Meet some NEW faces at the Serenity For Girls Club🎉

We’ve got some exciting news to share… our team is growing!

As we get ready for the start of The S4G Girls Club this month, September, we’re welcoming some amazing new staff members into the S4G Family!

These ladies aren’t just staff, they’re role models, cheerleaders, and big sisters for the girls who come through our doors. We thought you might like to meet them properly!

Say hello to Tenika, our new volunteer!

My name is Tenika Walsh. I am a 33-year-old who specialises in supporting children and young people within a range of settings. This varies from being in the community, social care, to my home environment.

I am a qualified Social Worker, Phlebotomist, former Ambassador of the Prince's Trust and Mentor for the Leicester City Children’s Council.

I was born with a Sickle Cell and Thalassemia trait, then diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis at 21! This resulted in many challenges with my health.

I enjoy the small things in life that I once took for granted, like walking, talking and indulging in quality time with friends and family, learning new things, singing, dancing and exploring the world are my favourite things to do.

I understand how it feels to be left behind and miss out on opportunities.

I hope to instil the same ethos into those at Serenity for Girls, so they believe in themselves and what they have to offer the world!

Say hello to our Club assistant worker!

I’m a whirlwind of colour, chaos, theatre, and storytelling, passionate about helping everyone discover their spark. Over the past five years, I’ve led creative workshops in schools, community centres, care homes, colleges, youth groups and prisons because creativity connects us, helps us grow, and lets us feel truly seen. Now, as I train to become a creative arts therapist, I can’t wait to use theatre, art, play, and imagination to help people shine and explore their own creativity.

I’m passionate about helping young girls embrace their quirks, build unstoppable resilience, and own their confidence - all while reconnecting with playfulness, curiosity, and creative expression. Most importantly, I love showing that kindness, collaboration, and support make every group stronger and go a very long way! An ensemble is always more magical than going it alone. I’m thrilled to be part of Serenity for Girls, where I get to help girls connect, dream big, play freely, and go for it!

When I’m not zooming around doing that, you’ll probably find me watching magical girl cartoons at full volume, painting wild abstract makeup creations, dancing at rock and punk gigs, fangirling over Shakespeare productions, or slowly (very slowly!) learning guitar. Life is never dull, and I truly believe there’s always a new creative adventure waiting. I can’t wait to have fun with all of you!

Say hello to our videographer and photographer, Shimron!

Hi, I'm Shimon. I'm a young creative working with film, theatre, and media to explore different ways stories can connect people. I like mixing structure with spontaneity, finding new angles in how we create and share ideas.

Whether I'm travelling, listening to music, or getting lost in a story, I'm drawn to the moments that spark imagination and shift perspective.

For me, creativity isn't just about making things; it's a way of seeing and connecting with the world around us.

I'm super excited to capture the creativity, fun and positivity at the club

Come Meet Them in Person!

Our new team members will be joining us at the Saturday Club from September 🎉
