It's Mental Health Awareness Week (12–18 May), and this year's theme is “Community”. At Serenity for Girls, Ive been reflecting on what community truly means to me and Serenity For Girls.
💖 Our Little Community
Community isn't just about where we live, it's about the connections we make. In our pilot girls' club project, we've seen friendships blossom, confidence grow, and a sense of belonging take root. It's in the shared laughter during activities, the supportive chats, and the moments of understanding that our community needs.
🌟 Real Connections
One of the most heartwarming moments recently was when two of our girls, who met at the club, became good friends and attended a birthday party together outside of our sessions. Seeing these bonds form reminds us of the importance of providing a space where girls can connect and support each other.
🌱 Looking Ahead
As we continue our journey, we're excited about the future of Serenity for Girls. Our goal is to expand our reach, support more girls, and continue building a community where girls feel valued and heard.
Thank you for being a part of our story.
Together, we're creating a space where girls can grow, connect, and thrive.
